Ana Gonzales bio
Ana Gonzalez de Jorgenson was born in Mexico to a family of musicians. When she was a kid, she listened to a lot of classical music and older boleros. Also, she listened to the traditional romance ballads as well as ranchero. Ana is a fan of tangos. Additionally, she enjoys operas as well as any theatrical performance. Her mother teaches her how to sing, but she began more intensive singing lessons through Flavio Belcerra, who was 16 at the time when Belcerra was an internationally acclaimed Mexican opera tenor. Music lessons continued throughout the School of Music of Guadalajara University. Then, she enrolled in The School of Sacred Music of Toluca. She sang throughout Guadalajara, Mexico City and various cities while a student and professional. In 2000 she moved to America. United States and sang with the Fort Lauderdale Symphony Chorus. In 2007, she settled in her current home in Southern California. She sings with Ensemble XXI Redlands, and is a performer of Latin American traditional music solo in a variety of private occasions. Ana is involved in a variety of local organizations, both as a teacher and performer because of her love for music and arts. Ana was also previously a member of Community Chorus of Redlands as in addition to The Inland Master Chorale and Performance Loft. Ana finds it a privilege to be able to share with others her passion for the tradition of Latin American music. She hopes to inspire younger generations to preserve the traditions.
